Marketplace Low-Voltage Disconnect Littelfuse has introduced the SureStart Compact Magnum 250 amp low-voltage disconnect. According to Littelfuse, the Compact Magnum prolongs battery life by preventing damage and eliminating dead battery service calls and lost time. Th e module is de- signed for protecting onboard electronics and other equipment used by truck fl eets, recreational vehicles, utility trucks and automobiles, the company says. Th e Compact Magnum is said to be able to handle up to 250 amps, yet it fi ts within a 5x5x3-in. space. It automatically detects if the system is 12V or 24V and disconnects when battery voltage falls below an established threshold, reconnecting when the battery is recharged, Littelfuse says.
