The new brand stamp for Sonoma County aims to evoke the authenticity and craftsmanship of the region���s producers. Two years of meetings and additional market research resulted in the new marketing campaign, ���We are Sonoma County,��� along with a new brand mark in the style of a stencil or stamp, designed to convey the craftsmanship at the heart of Sonoma County���s grapegrowing and winemaking enterprises. ���Consumers know it���s different here,��� Comfort said. ���It���s all about that emotional connection, which is incredibly powerful.��� The tagline and brank mark will be used in print and online advertising, social media, co-op advertising, website, trade and retail programs, and sales promotion tools, in addition to serving as the official logo for all three organizations. CREATIVE COLLABORATION Comfort and Nick Frey, president of the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission, had previously worked together to create a collaborative process between growers and vintners for Sonoma County���s conjunctive labeling efforts, which culminated in a January 2011 requirement to include ���Sonoma County��� on the front label of all Sonoma County wines, along with any AVA designation. Vintners have until Jan. 1, 2014, to comply.
