He brings to NCSF 39 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining NCSF, Schenk was the divisional manager for Physicians Mutual. Twenty years of his experience has been in the fraternal world. His time was split between The Catholic Knights of America (now part of Catholic Financial Life) and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was the vice president of sales and marketing for both societies and also served as thevicepresidentoffraternalandchairpersonforCOF's business strategies committee. SchenkholdstheFraternalFieldManagersAssociation's FraternalInsuranceCounselors'(FIC)designationandthe Certifi edSeniorAdvisor's(CSA)designation. He has also earned the Certifi Fraternal ed Field Manager (CFFM) designation. For 5 years he served on the NAFIC Board of Directors. In addition he served 7 years on the FFMA Board of Directors and is a past president for the FFMA; he also served 3 years as the executive secretary for the FFMA. He is a past president of NAIFA and is a 34-year member of that trade association. He is a past president of both the Illinois and Missouri Fraternal Congress (now the AFA) and in 2005 he was chosen as the Missouri Fraternal Congress'sFraternalistoftheYear. Active in the Catholic community, Schenk served 11 years on the CYC Board of Directors, and was a board member and president of both the Incarnate Word and St. Dominic Board of Directors. For 6 years he served on the Foundation Board of Advisors for the Sisters of Saint Mary Hospital. Schenk also served 9 years as an advisor/ consultanttotheSaintJoseph'sInstitutefortheDeafand their board of directors. Jay has been married to his wife Mary for 39 years and is the father of 4 daughters and now has 7 grandchildren. He and Mary have been featured speakers on radio and TV on the topic of marriage and parental spirituality. 21
