CAE Study Group Schedule MSAE is supporting a new study group/program for individuals interested in earning their Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification. Please note basic testing information, schedule for "inperson study sessions" below as well as the basic costs of study materials and the cost of the test itself. For complete information about the CAE exam and credentials, go to www.asaecenter.org. To qualify for to take the exam: 1. Intend to sit for the CAE exam within 12 months. 2. Section 4: Higher Academic Education: Have earned a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher learning. 3. Section 3: Standards of Conduct, Disclosure, and Attestations: Pledged to uphold the ASAE Standards of Conduct, disclosed any felony convictions, and signed to indicate my acceptance of the Application Attestation. I understand that the program policies and Candidate Handbook are available at www.whatiscae.org. 4. Section 5: Qualifying Employment Experience: Candidate has been employed within the past five years by a qualifying nonprofit organization—a trade association, professional society, individual membership organization, philanthropic organization, tribal organization—or association management company and has completed the years of 3 years as CEO or 5 years in other staff positions 5. Section 6: Professional Development Activities: Candidate has completed at least 100 hours of qualifying association management professional development within the past five years in fulfillment of program requirements. MSAE is an approved program provider, therefore all MSAE luncheons' and conferences' programming qualifies toward these hours. Dates of the CAE Test: December 6, 2013 May 2014 (exact date TBA) December 2014 (exact date TBA) The Cost of the exam application and test: The application fee is $500 for ASAE members and $700 for nonmembers. The application fee includes a $150 non-refundable processing fee. You must take the test within a 12-month, two- test cycle. MSAE Study group schedule: Beginning June 19, 2013, the study group will meet every Wednesday between 11:30 – 1:00 with the exception of July 3rd, October 16th and November 27th. Schedule may vary depending upon participants' schedules. Please note you DO NOT have to apply for or commit to take the exam to participate in the study group!
