OTR company drivers paid on a per-mile basis started receiving a 1-cent-permile increase for any loads dispatched after Aug. 3. Line-haul revenue for independent contractors increased 4 cents per mile. SCHNEIDER NATIONAL BULK CARRIERS' tanker division is offering experienced drivers a $5,000 sign-on bonus ($10,000 for teams) to meet demand for its chemical hauling services. Positions are available in areas across the Midwest, South and Northeast; interested drivers willing to relocate are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a $2,000 relocation allowance.
