Scag Tiger Striper The patented Tiger Striper enhances the striping ability of Scag zero-turn riding mowers. The Tiger Striper allows users to turn the stripe on and off, and remove the entire roller system without tools. Its spring-loaded design applies downward pressure to the grass. This further enhances the stripe and allows the roller to contour to uneven terrain better than standard fixed rollers. The Tiger Striper is available for most Scag zero-turn riders. Scag Power Equipment Stens lawn mower blades Stens has expanded its lawn mower blade offerings by more than 25 new product SKUs. The expansion includes a variety of mulching, standard, bagging, hi-lift, medium-lift and low-lift blades, plus 9 new Silver Streak toothed blades. The blades come in numerous sizes, ranging from 12 to 27 inches. The selection of blades fits a wide range of equipment brands, including AYP, BobCat, Bunton, Cub Cadet, Dixie Chopper, Dixon, Encore, Exmark, Ferris, Grasshopper, Honda, Hustler, Husqvarna, John Deere, Kees, Kubota, Lastec, Lesco, MTD, Scag, Simplicity, Snapper and Toro. Stens Stihl RMA 370 battery-powered lawn mower available with mulching kit Stihl's RMA 370 battery-powered lawn mower expands the versatility of the Stihl Battery KombiSystem, which allows users to power multiple tools with one easily interchangeable 36-volt lithium-ion battery for gasoline-free, low-maintenance lawn care. One of the lightest-weight battery-powered lawn mowers currently on the market, the RMA 370 provides clean operation and is approximately 4 times quieter as compared to equivalent gasoline-powered lawn mowers, making it ideal for homeowners with small yards or in noise-restricted areas. Stihl offers a mulching kit designed exclusively for the RMA 370 mower. The mulching blade and insert will result in shorter grass clippings, which serve as a natural fertilizer for the lawn. The kit is quick and easy to install and minimizes the amount of clippings that need to be landfilled. Users can also collect and remove the grass clippings from a lawn simply by switching out the mulching insert for the included grass catcher. Stihl Inc. Subaru's EH90 and EH99 big block V-Twin engines Subaru's 35-hp. EH90 and 40-hp. EH99 big block V-Twin engines meet a growing demand for larger, air-cooled gasoline engines that deliver increased power for a wider range of applications. The engines are ideal for equipment like concrete polishers, riding trowels, utility vehicles, zero-turn mowers and ride-on blowers. The EH90 and EH99 are extremely durable and low maintenance, and they feature heat-reduction technology. Both engines are 999 cc and feature heavy-duty connecting rods, large crankshaft bearings and 3-ring pistons. The hardened exhaust valve and seats can handle high temperatures, which improves engine performance, efficiency and overall engine life. Optional temperature sensors located on the engine heads can be set up to trigger an engine shutoff to prevent any damage from overheating. Subaru Industrial Power Products TurfEx TS200 spreader The TS200 spreader is part of TurfEx's full line of zero-turn mower attachments. Capable of spreading seed, fertilizer and ice melt, the spreader is engineered specifically to maximize mower productivity. The spreader comes with a unique universal mount, which helps it attach quickly to most available zero-turn mowers. It holds up to 2.5 cubic feet of material and features a corrosionresistant polyethylene hopper to reduce weight and maintenance concerns. The spreading operation is controlled via the manual flow gate and electric-powered spinner, both of which can be actuated from the mower's seat. Additionally, the spinner includes adjustable paddles for fine-tuning the spread pattern. A clear cover comes standard with the spreader to prevent foreign objects from entering the hopper and allow the operator to easily see material levels from the seat. TurfEx, a product division of TrynEx International Vrisimo MiniMax flail mower The MiniMax is a low-cost, high-quality and high-performance flail mower. Balancing weight with strength, it weighs only 600 pounds but will mow more than an acre per hour on an 18-hp. compact tractor. The MiniMax is designed to operate on a standard category 1 three-point hitch and a 540-PTO compact tractor. It is a machine that can help to protect a home and property from a potential wildfire by creating a defensible space around the property while making it look great too. The MiniMax is safe to use near livestock since all debris is trapped under the mower. Vrisimo Equipment Co. W.E. Arm Rest Bag The W.E. Arm Rest Bag is specially designed to hang off the side of the arm rests on all seats for zero-turn mowers, riding mowers and sulky seats. This 10-inch-wide by 12-inch-long bag gives operators a place to put the trash and debris they find while mowing or provides a place to carry tools and supplies. The straps wrap around the arm rest and secure with a plastic quick-release buckle or hook-and-loop fasteners. An added bonus: The W.E. Arm Rest Bag can also be attached to the operator's belt to use as a side hip bag (like the W.E. Pocket Keeper) while picking up properties. W.E. Chapps, Inc. Wright's Velke X2 Wright's Velke X2 possesses the same features as Wright's Velke Sulky and more. The Velke X2 is the only 2-wheel sulky that folds compactly under the dash for walk-behind operation and lowers effortlessly for ride-behind convenience. Best of all, it fits most professional walk-behind mowers. With strong, welded-steel construction and a wide-open platform for operator comfort, the Velke X2 can easily carry operators weighing between 250 and 300 pounds. Wright's patented design keeps the operator closer to the handles and away from obstacles on zero turns. Wright Mfg. OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT JANUARY 2014 29
