AgroThermal Systems Reports Trial Results Walnut Creek, Calif.-based AgroThermal Sys- tems has announced results from its 2013 Thermal Plant Treatment trial programs in the U.S. and New Zealand. California State University, Fresno made wine from both the heat-treated trial and non-heat- treated control blocks. A tasting panel then sampled the wines blind and found some notable differ- ences. The heat-treated chardonnays, for example, had more fruit and better balance than the control- block wines. Randox Receives Industry Accreditation Randox Food Diagnostics of the United Kingdom has received accreditation from the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences at the University of Bordeaux for its Randox RX Monza and enzymatic testing kits. The Randox kits were compared with traditional methods of wine analysis, and were found to outper- form those methods for both reliability and regularity.
