AGGREGATES MANAGER April 2014 6 Efficient secondary and tertiary crushing Metso introduces the Nordberg NP15 impact crusher. Designed for increased safety and perfor- mance, the unit is suitable for secondary and tertiary applications. The unit features a steeper feed angle, which increases material penetration into the rotor and makes the discharge curve less sensitive to blow-bar wear and more consistent over time. The crusher accepts feed mate- rial up to 15 3/4 inches and can be equipped with a 476-horsepower motor on a single drive. To streamline maintenance, the crusher is designed with only seven different liners, which allows for greater flexibility and lower inventory of stock parts. Finally, the unit has a new two- part rear frame that is said to combine safety with easy, wide access. A removable breaker plate cassette ensures that breaker plate liners can be changed safely, with a spare cassette that can be prepared in advance to further ease and speed up liner changes. Metso Mining and Construction | www.metso.com Tier 4 Final wheel loaders Case Construction Equipment's 821F and 921F wheel loaders are equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR)-only solution that treats emissions separately with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and does not require the engine to recirculate exhaust gas. This, Case says, optimizes combustion and machine performance, lowers engine temperatures, and eliminates maintenance and downtime associated with filter replacement and regeneration. The loader has a 6.7-liter Tier 4 Final-certified engine. The 821F and 921F wheel loaders produce 212 and 241 net peak horsepower, respectively. The smaller unit features buckets ranging from 3.2 to 4.5 cubic yards, while the larger unit is sized for buckets ranging from 3.8 to 4.75 cubic yards. Each machine is said to provide up to a 10-percent increase in fuel economy over the previous E Series models. Additional fuel savings of up to 30 percent can be achieved with a standard engine shut- down feature that allows the operator to limit engine idle time, while an optional efficiency package provides even more fuel savings through features such as a five-speed lockup transmission, axles with auto-locking differential, and advanced system programming. Highest-in-class crushing force With 402 horsepower performance and a crushing capacity output range of 135 to 545 metric tons per hour, Telsmith's T400 Cone Crusher boasts the largest-in-class clearing stroke and highest-in-class crushing force. The cone features a large clearing circuit, which is engineered to safely and quickly allow any uncrushable material to pass. With a maximum feed opening of 12 inches, it has a 52-inch diameter head and a 55-inch receiving hopper. The crusher enables the use of a single bowl for all liners over its range of operation. It also features a new and improved patent-pending anti-spin feature that prevents head spin to extend manganese life. To keep owning and operating costs down, a patent-pending concave (bowl liner) retention system achieves retention without the use of hammers or hand tools. The unit also features the largest-in-class, patent-pending hybrid bearings. Telsmith | www.telsmith.com As seen at
