It is kink, tangle and abrasion-resistant, and has machined brass couplings. UltraMax Red is available in 25-, 50-, 75- and 100-foot lengths and 5/8", 3/4" and 1" sizes. Custom lengths and sizes are also available. UltraMax Red is the newest product in Underhill's expanding line-up of prod- ucts for parks and sports fields. The com- pany manufactures a full-line of hose-end nozzles, including the Magnum UltraMax with pistol and firefighter grip; the DrainBlaster for drain clean-outs; and solid metal Precision and Magnum nozzles. sprinklerMaps software battles ineffective landscape Maps San Diego-based software company Groundskeeper Tech (GT) is challeng- ing the status quo with its mapping software SprinklerMaps. Introduced at the STMA National Conference in January 2014, the software application has already sparked significant interest from turf managers worldwide. GT Founder Mike D'Ascanio began developing SprinklerMaps in response to a pressing need he identified in his years of experience in turf mainte- nance. Working as head groundskee- per at the University of California, D'Ascanio grew frustrated with printed paper landscape maps, which were rou- tinely outdated, inaccurate, or flat out inaccessible. As an alternative to ineffective paper landscape maps, SprinklerMaps gives users the ability to plot their irrigation and utility systems with pinpoint preci- sion on a live satellite map, transform- ing an iPad into a practical landscape management tool. Additional features include a handy square footage estima- tor, Sprinkler Radius Viewer, GPM tallies, and the ability to "flag" markers for repair. The benefits of the SprinklerMaps solution includes greatly increased effi- ciency for maintenance workers who use the tool to locate and document repairs. SprinklerMaps also provides a system of accountability, allowing land- scape managers to map out assigned tasks and track progress, saving time and money for all involved. SprinklerMaps is designed specifi- cally for landscape and irrigation man- agers, providing a practical technology solution that is well ahead of the curve. Among the industry leaders embracing this technology are major universi- ties, golf courses, and several profes- sional sports teams including an English Premier League soccer team. irritrol annoUnces 100-s series scrUbber valve line expansion The Irritrol 100-S Series Century Plus scrubber valves can withstand the harsh- est chemicals and dirtiest water, while delivering consistently outstanding perfor- mance. The extremely durable construc- tion and patented continuous scrubbing turbine keep the valve interior clean and functional for reliable performance. The 100-S Series Century Plus scrub- ber valves are based on the proven and durable 100 Series Century Plus valves, known for rugged construction and pre- mium performance. At the heart of the new 100-S Series Century Plus scrubber valves is a turbine that is continuously scrubbing and actively cleaning the metering device to ensure consistent valve operation. Competitive scrubber valves typically clean only upon start-up and shut-down, but the Irritrol scrubber valves clean continually. After all, dirt, algae, chlorines, chloramines and water treated with ozone never sleep. "Our goal was to deliver the most consistently reliable scrubber valve pos- sible to provide the productivity Irritrol is known for," said Alexis Bookman, prod- uct manager for Irritrol. "In dirty water, contaminants are always present, so we feel the best way to prevent clogging and ensure dependable performance is to have the 100-S Series Century Plus scrubber valves clean continuously. That non-stop cleaning, along with their durable compo- nents, allows them to deliver performance users can depend on." The scrubber valves are constructed of extremely durable materials, such as heavy- duty, glass-reinforced nylon; stainless steel; brass and Ethylene-Propylene-Diene- Monomer (EPDM) rubber materials. The fabric-reinforced EPDM dia- phragm and EPDM seat are designed to withstand the harshest chemicals found in dirty water systems, and internally molded studs provide a sure bonnet attachment. The valves are now available in 1" and 1.5" models, as well as the 2" and 3" models already offered, making this hard- working valve versatile enough for large or small irrigation jobs. The scrubbing device is completely serviceable and can be retrofit into other 100 Series Century Plus valves.
