WOMEN IN TRUCKING Sponsored by • • • By Ellen Voie • • • Women In Trucking Association partners with NASCAR driver Jennifer Jo Cobb to honor our fallen veterans at Arlington National Cemetery SINCE 1992, MORRILL WORCESTER, founder of Wreaths Across America (www.wreathsacrossamerica.org) has been making remembrance wreaths for our service members graves to honor their service to our country. Since then, volunteers and donors place more than 540,000 wreaths on veteran's graves in over 900 cemeteries annually including over 142,700 at Arlington last year. This year, Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is teaming with Jennifer Jo Cobb and her #10 Driven 2 Honor NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. Jennifer has appeared at WIT events and is a member of the association. "I'm honored to team with Women In Trucking and their members to support Wreaths Across America," said Cobb. "I'm sure we can accomplish great things together for such a worthy cause. This is Arlington's one hundred fi ftieth anniversary and I'd love to see us make an impact in assuring that each and every fallen veteran receives a wreath on Wreaths Across America Day this December 13th. We can do it ladies!" Each member of Women In Trucking Association who supports the Wreaths Across America program will have his or her name (or the person honored by the donation) written on a decal and placed on the Jennifer Jo Cobb racing truck. In addition, one dollar from each wreath donation will be given to the Women In Trucking Scholarship Foundation to provide tuition assistance to a member seeking a career in the trucking industry. "Many of our members are veterans or are family members of veterans, and this is our way of honoring their service through our connections with Jennifer Jo Cobb, a woman who has been a pioneer in the racing industry," said Ellen Voie, WIT's President/ CEO. "We hope to make a positive impact by adding to the list of service members who will be honored by our member's efforts." You can make your donation online at give.wreathsacrossamerica.org. Women In Trucking Association, Inc. is a nonprofi t association established to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry.
