'American Pie'
Owner-operator husband-and-wife team Daniel and Sarah
Sauseda of Dallas haul ammunition and explosives nationwide
with their 2003 Volvo VNL770. The truck they call "American
Pie" has custom dual exhaust stacks and is powered by
a 600-hp Cummins ISX engine with a custom tune from a
Pittsburgh Power chip. The Sausedas say they average 7.2
mpg in the rig.
One-year-old T660
Owner-operator Christopher Harrison hauls dry freight
from Reno, Nev., to San Francisco and down to Los
Angeles with his 2014 Kenworth T660. The truck's mostly
stock, Harrison says, save for a little chrome on the dash
and a few exterior add-ons.
