Star Winemaker Award. For the second year in a row, Eric Harris of Two-EE's Winery in Indiana was honored with this title, earning a bronze medal for the Two-EE's NV Primitivo, a silver for the Two-EE's 2013 Traminette, and double gold and Best of Class awards for the Two-EE's NV Barreja, thus achieving the highest collective scoring points awarded by the judges. Jessica Altieri of Wine Channel TV served as the spokesperson and a judge for the com- petition. Her reputation as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable wine professional helped draw consumer attention from the under-40 crowd. "Our mission is to help wine produc- ers better understand the tastes and wine preferences of the Millennial generation by having Millennial wine experts judge the wines," explained V&WM president Robert Merletti. "Joining forces with Wine Channel TV aids in our strategy to reach a Millennial customer base." In September, judges gathered for the 2014 International Wine Channel TV awards (IWC- TV), hosted by Vineyard & Winery Management (V&WM). The competition was held in Santa Rosa, Calif., Sept. 16-17. Beating out hundreds of entries from around the world, the Dr. Konstan- tin Frank 2012 Finger Lakes Riesling took the top award for overall Best of Show. Judges awarded a total of 21 Best of Class, six double gold, 34 gold and 154 silver medals. They also named six wines as Best of Show in their respective categories (see sidebar).
