www.greenmediaonline.com Business Planning Guide December 2014 31 HONDA UNVEILS NEW DESIGN FEATURES FOR HRX SERIES OF LAWN MOWERS Honda Power Equipment showcased its new HRX series of premium residential lawn mowers at GIE+EXPO. The significantly updated HRXVKA and HRXVYA models offer best-in-class cutting performance, ease of use, durability, control and reliability. All-new for 2014, these HRX models incorporate the Honda Select Drive System, providing control, comfort and convenience to mowing customers. This unique system and innovative design allow the user to rotate the ergonomically located, speed-adjust dial — enabling the selection of a desired speed range while also engaging the Select Drive control handle to match the mowing stride. Once the control handle is fully engaged, it becomes an integrated part of the handlebar, adding more comfort to the mowing experience. Speed also is adjustable while mowing by engaging the Select Drive control handle or by turning the speed-adjust dial. EXMARK LAUNCHES REDESIGNED TURF TRACER S-SERIES WALK-BEHIND MOWER Exmark redesigned one of its most popular wide- area walk-behind mowers — the Turf Tracer S-Series. The new 2015 model incorporates several improvements designed to deliver increased overall durability, serviceability and ease-of-use. Exmark incorporated an electric clutch on the 2015 Turf Tracer S-Series mower, which simplifies the deck drive system and increases its durability. The system not only eliminates dozens of parts, it increases the reliability of the system and provides easier access for service. A new structure for the engine deck and tank support was developed to lower the machine's center of gravity. A choice of 36-, 48- or 52-inch UltraCut Series 3 cutting decks is available. This 5-inch deep, fully-welded deck design delivers Exmark's signature cut quality, combined with the durability of the company's sealed, greaseless spindles and heavy-duty 7-gauge steel deck reinforcements. GRASSHOPPER UNVEILS NEW COMPACT ZERO-TURN MOWERS The Grasshopper Company expanded its compact, economical V-Series with two new models — 125V and 225V — which retain the same professional-quality craftsmanship as all other Grasshopper mowers. Features include a fully hydraulic, integrated pump-and-wheel- motor transmissions; 747-cc Kohler Confidant engines (with a limited three-year engine manufacturer warranty); 5.5-inch, extra-deep cutting decks with foot-pedal and drop-pin height adjustment; large turf-style drive tires; and fully cushioned Cordura-covered seats with padded armrests. Model 125V can be equipped 48- or 52-inch decks, while Model 225V can accept 52- and 61-inch decks.
