I DA U N I V E R S A L J a n u a r y - Fe b r u a r y 2 0 1 5 21 NUTS AND BOLTS NEWS INTERMAT 2015 is the professionally-backed trade show that builds on its achievements, with a clearly-asserted position on EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) markets, representing 82 percent of its visitors, and off ering unparalleled access to the French construction market which is worth €206.6 billion in annual sales. To further the success of the 2012 edition (96 percent of visitors satisfi ed with their visit and 87 percent of exhibi- tors satisfi ed with the quality of contacts they made), INTERMAT 2015 will be introducing a new and improved exhibition sector layout to accompany the event's new developments and perspec- tives and, therefore, deliver an enhanced visiting experience. INTERMAT has fully overhauled its fl oor plan for 2015 around its "traditional" exhibi- tion areas at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre – the outside demonstration areas, together with Halls 5A, 5B and 6 – and is to take over the more recently-built Hall 7, instead of Halls 3 and 4. is new 15,000 sqm hall, opened in 2010, off ers visitors and exhibitors all the benefi ts of modern and functional exhibition facilities. It is also a pioneer in the area of exhibition infrastructure, as it was built to high environment quality (HEQ) standards and is fi tted with the largest green (planted) roof in France. is initiative taken by the show's organizers aims to make a long-lasting improvement to the identifi cation and presentation made to visitors of the various business activities on show. e intent is to make exhibiting a global off ering, fully representa- tive of the whole construction industry, from the upstream stages with materials extraction and processing to the end of the project cycle, with the produc- tion and application of building fi ttings and civil engineering structure installations. is new organization will also give visitors a smoother transition between the halls and the exterior demonstration zones. In implementing these changes, INTERMAT 2015 shines a spotlight on the machines, equip- ment and solutions of its exhibi- tors and also facilitates the visits of building and construction professionals wishing to target their own specifi c line of business. is new show layout is also the opportunity to further promote the new developments of the exhibition, including the extension of the product and service range off ered. • e concrete industry takes center stage at INTERMAT 2015, off ering the entire range of concrete-related machinery and equipment. INTERMAT 2015 is the rock-solid guarantee of its exhaustive concrete off ering through its innovation-driven specialties and its increasing responsiveness to sustainable development issues. • e exhibition will also high- light the expertise of its exhibi- tors in demolition, recycling and re-use of materials, particularly relevant subjects given the im- portance of protecting natural resources and complying with lower pollution levels during the installation of work sites. INTER- MAT 2015 will be a forum for exchange on these issues. • Finally, INTERMAT is develop- ing its off ering of hand-held, non- powered and electric tools for the construction industry. Crucial to building projects, these tools have made considerable progress in terms of productivity, ease of use, and operator health and safety. ese innovations drive a grow- ing market in which construction plays a major role. is new sector layout will consequently accommodate the 1,500 exhibitors expected, extend exhibition capacity and off er visitors a range of sectors that are clearly defi ned and identifi able by business activity. e next global meeting for construction and building materials professionals will be held in Paris April 20-25, 2015 and, more than a year-and-a-half before the event, many exhibitors have already booked their space. ● paris-en.intermatconstruction.com INTERMAT: Going Further in 2015, Presenting a New Show Layout and Product Segmentation Nuts & Bolts continued on page 23
