Looking back for a moment, the end of 2014 showed a slight increase in growth for a ermarket construction parts for most of North America and a small portion of Europe. In 2015, I anticipate growth, albeit small, in Mining and Construc- tion parts sales, and it should be a good year for IDA members, both Associate and Regular. Have you searched the Internet for the outlook on the heavy equipment industry in 2015? e majority of the forecasts predict increases from 6-9 percent in construction equipment globally. Hopefully, those forecasts indicate a more profi table year for all the IDA member companies, as well. IDA is starting the year on good footing, partly a result of the profi table 2014 Convention held in Chicago. IDA also begins 2015 in a new, more spacious North Dallas offi ce, located at 3030 A Healthy and Happy New Year to All… LBJ Freeway, Suite 125, Dallas, Texas, 75234. And, IDA has a new accountant, Michelle Dattalo. We are happy to have her on board. Plans are already being completed for the 2015 Miami Convention. As you can see from the exhibit fl oor diagram, many of the booths for the IDA Trade Show have been reserved. It is not too early for the rest of you to make your choices. Simply email IDA (info@idaparts.org) with the number of booth(s) you would like. In the next few weeks, you will be receiving your new 2015 IDA Member Directory, as well as instructions for using the new "Members" section of the IDA website. ere, you will be able to search for a specifi c type of business (e.g., a company that works with Komatsu engines in Canada), and there will be several other improvements that make it more user friendly. e next meeting of the IDA Board of Directors will be held in Chicago, Illinois at the Rosemont Hilton Hotel in April. Several of the board members are also planning to attend the Automechanika Trade Show, April 24 – 26, 2015, at McCor- mick Place in Chicago. As a reminder, any time you have ideas or suggestions for improving IDA, please feel free to email me: psmith@fpsmitheq. com. Meanwhile, remember to forward the names of potential new members to the IDA offi ce. Let's ensure this year sees a record number of inductees into our association. is will not happen without your support. Yours truly. Pete Smith
