Pete Smith I hope all of you are having a successful summer in your businesses and are able to carve out some time for vacation. e IDA spring Board meeting was held recently in Dallas, Texas. Amr Elborai, North American Director, and his family were gracious hosts during the visit. Not only was transportation provided for the Board, but also a board room to hold our meeting, meals and a very productive tour of the Memo Corporation facility. Many thanks to Amr and everyone else at Memo Corporation for making us feel so welcome. e Independent Distribu- tors Association is in good shape. Our legal counsel, Robert McIntyre, was present at the meeting to report on projects he has been working on for IDA. Also reviewed were new member services that will be available to all Regular and Associate members around the Dear IDA Members, world. Following additional testing by the Board, more details on these services will be announced in the coming months. Remember that the IDA Convention is only four months away. It is not too early to register for the convention and book your hotel accommodations. You can accomplish both of these tasks online at www.idaparts.org. e convention will again be held downtown at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel. e rooms will fi ll up fast, and I am told that other conventions are being held in Miami at the same time. It is critical that you get your hotel rooms now. You can make changes, and if necessary, cancel, as the date draws closer, without losing any funds. I look forward to seeing you at another great convention and trade show in Miami on October 14–17.
