Noël Perry Perry is a senior consultant and truck and transportation expert for FTR. He is a rarity among economists by specializing in transportation and logistics. e way freight moves has been a passion for Perry over his 40- year career, which began on a loading dock and culminated in his role as an industry-leading consultant. Before founding Transport Fundamentals and joining FTR, Perry worked for 30 years in senior research positions at Schneider National, Cummins Engine Company and CSX. at experience continues to give Perry a unique and broad perspective on the market, covering all the modes and the supplier sector. He is a member of the National Business Economists' Issues Council and, in his spare time, the Society for American Baseball Research. Perry holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University and is a graduate of Girard College, a unique primary and secondary school in Philadelphia. He is a Vietnam War veteran and enjoys gardening, singing, golng and is an amateur World War II historian. John Larkin Larkin is the Managing Director of Research for Stifel Financial Corp. He began his career in the transportation industry in 1977, serving as a research assistant at the Center for Transportation at the University of Texas in Austin. He joined Day & Zimmerman Inc. as a transportation systems consultant in 1979 and served in that capacity until 1982. He earned his Master's of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1984 and a bachelor's degree and a Master's of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont and the University of Texas. Larkin is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the Boards of Advisors for CRST International and Comcar Industries and is a member of the Baltimore CFA Society. He joined Legg Mason (whose capital markets group was sold in its entirety to Stifel, Nicolas & Company, incorporated in 2005) in October 2001 to form and lead the rm's entry into transportation markets. Larkin was recognized as an all-star analyst by Institutional Investor magazine in 2006 and as a Wall Street Journal all-star analyst ve times, most recently for his stock picks in 2010. Lee Klaskow Klaskow is a senior analyst in transportation and logistics for Bloomberg Intelligence, a unique research platform that provides context on industries, companies, litigation, government policy and economics and is available on the Bloomberg Professional Service at BI. He specializes in rail, trucking, logistics, air freight and marine shipping industries. Klaskow began his career at McCarthy, Cristani and Maei analyzing and reporting on the primary equity markets. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he was a senior analyst at Longbow Research and Prudential Equity Group, where he covered freight transportation and logistics companies. He has also worked at Prudential Equity Group as an industrial analyst prior to being promoted to senior analyst. He helped originate and execute global equity transactions for both ABN Amro Rothschild and J.P. Morgan.
