ECHO BEAR CAT'S CH6720H CHIPPER Echo Bear Cat's CH6720H commercial chipper is hydraulically fed and features a distinctive 6-inch-high by 13-inch-wide feed opening to accommodate larger brush and tree trimmings. It is powered by an electric-start, 720-cc Subaru engine for reliable starting, more horsepower, reduced fuel consumption and long life. The CH6720H also features a unique cantilever-mounted rotor. This propeller-style mounting design allows a user to chip wet or stringy wood types with less tendency of product twist or wrap. The chipper's hydraulic feed system is electronically controlled. If the rotor speed drops below optimal operational rpm range, the controller pauses the feed roller to allow the rotor to regain speed, and then restarts feeding once optimal rotor rpm is achieved. This AutoFeed function allows for less fatigue on wear parts and maximizes efficiency. WOOD HANDLERS (CHAIN SAWS, LOG SPLITTERS, STUMP GRINDERS, CHIPPERS) EQUIPMENT FOCUS www.arborage.com ARBOR AGE FALL 2015 31 EFCO MT 6500 CHAIN SAW The efco MT 6500 professional chain saw is ideal for demanding use, such as felling medium- to large-size trees and frequent firewood cutting. The powerful 63.4-cc, 4.7-hp. en- gine is easy to start and has a high power-to-weight ratio. A lateral chain tensioner simplifies adjustments, avoiding any contact with chain. The MT 6500 features an easy-access air filter cover for simplified maintenance and a separate 1-piece handle section to reduce vibrations and increase comfort. Plus, the MT 6500 is backed by efco's 5-year consumer and 2-year commercial warranties. HUSQVARNA 536LI XP From Husqvarna's battery-operated line, the 536Li XP is ideal for professionally oriented users who want a lightweight, low-maintenance but high-performance, cordless, electric chain saw. Like all products in Husqvarna's battery-operated line, the 536Li XP is equipped with a high- capacity Li-Ion 36-volt battery that offers the performance of a gasoline-powered engine with a cleaner and quieter experience. The chain saw is well suited for carpenters, arborists, contractors, treecare workers and olive farmers, as well as home- owners looking for more environmentally friendly outdoor power equipment. The 536Li XP features SavE mode technology, which can be activated with the push of a button to lower output performance and increase battery life in less- demanding situations. It features excellent ergonomics, high performance and high chain speed. The battery and charger are not included. SP8018TRX STUMP CUTTER FROM J.P. CARLTON The Carlton SP8018TRX is designed for high production in both clearing and large residential removal applications. A 99-hp. turbo-charged Kubota diesel engine combined with Carlton's two-stage cutter head drive provides significant cutting power. The Carlton Ra- zor cutting system offers a low-profile holder design coupled with large-faced carbide teeth. This provides a high cut-to-friction ratio resulting in highly efficient, large cuts with minimal chip scatter. The SP- 8018TRX features large cutting dimensions: 43 inches above ground, 18 inches below ground, and 80 inches of sweep. The patented turntable design lowers the machine's center of gravity, making it very stable while providing massive cutting dimensions and reducing flex and wear points. The unit's Caterpillar track undercarriage provides a secure stance and extensive tractive effort, along with Caterpillar reliability. COMPACT, PORTABLE STUMP CUTTER BY MACKISSIC MacKissic's 25-inch-wide stump cutter is not only compact and lightweight, but also easy to use, load and move without causing turf damage. Its patented cutter head — with 9 carbide-tipped teeth in 45-degree, 25-degree and straight configuration — provides a smooth cutting ac- tion. The adjustable handlebar converts to rear or front operation, offering access to tight spots with excellent visibility to avoid rocks and foreign debris for quicker stump removal plus extended wear to the teeth. Its exclusive braking system stops the cutter head in less than 2 seconds when the operator presence lever is released, providing unparalleled safety. Engine options include Briggs & Stratton, Robin-Subaru or Honda. IRON & OAK BHVH2213GX Iron & Oak's BHVH2213GX is a 22-ton log split- ter capable of horizontal or vertical operation. The unit comes standard with an upgraded, newly designed log dislodger. The BHVH- 2213GX is powered by a Honda GX160 engine and has a cycle time of just 12 seconds. It is capable of splitting logs up to 25 inches with a 7.5-inch carbon steel wedge, 4-inch by 24-inch clevis cylinder and boxed beam for added strength and durability. Additional splitters from 15 to 34 tons are available.
