New Products & Packaging x The newest flavor in the SKYY Infusions line, Coconut, has been released by Campari America. The vodka is made with real coconuts to create a light, refreshing flavor that's complemented by the aroma of citrus and Tahitian vanilla bean, according to the company. The vodka, which joins the other nine SKYY Infusions flavors, has already been ranked the best tasting coconut vodka by the Beverage Testing Institute. It's available for a suggested retail price of $18.49 for a 750 ml bottle. x XO Café Dark Cocoa is now available from Patrón Spirits. The coffee liqueur combines Patrón Silver Tequila with coffee and chocolate flavors, building on the company's portfolio of coffee liqueurs. The dark cocoa is distilled at 60 proof and comes in a frosted version of the Patrón tequila bottle. The liqueur has a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750 ml bottle. x Absolut Grapevine is the latest vodka flavor from Pernod Ricard USA. The newest Absolut iteration is a blend of white grape, dragon fruit and papaya flavors. The spirit is made from natural ingredients and contains no sugar. Absolut is also simultaneously releasing Absolut Miami, combining citrus flavors of passion fruit and orange blossom. Both vodkas are available for a suggested retail price of $21 for a 750 ml bottle. Pernod Ricard has debuted a new package for Plymouth Gin, due to hit retail shelves this month. The rounded bottle shape and antique style pay tribute to the unique heritage of Plymouth Gin, the company says, and the oval label recalls an earlier example of the packaging, embellished with copper to reflect Plymouth's artisanal cre- dentials. The bottle also honors the city of Plymouth, England as it has been distilled on the same site since 1793 at The Black Friar's Distiller - the oldest working distillery in England. The suggested retail price for Plymouth Gin is $32.99 for 1 liter bottle. x Burnett's Vodka, from Heaven Hill Distilleries, has introduced Blue Raspberry Vodka to its portfolio of varied flavors. The new addition is the 26th flavor in the line. The burst of blue to the raspberry flavor is an excit- ing twist on traditional flavors, the company says. The launch of the new flavor is supported by POS for floor displays and shelf facings, as well as sales education materials. The 70 proof product is available for a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 750 ml bottle. Beverage Dynamics • www.beveragedynamics.com • March/April 2012 • 69
