DIVERSIONS
Aug. 28 was a big night at the
Great American Trucking
Show in Dallas for singer-song-
writer and Everhart Transpor-
tation driver Tony Justice. Fol-
lowing two widely well-received
albums of trucking songs (On
the Road, Apple Pie Moonshine),
Justice's fi rst show on the big
stage at GATS – opening for
one of his heroes, country
music veteran John Anderson –
was a special occasion.
After two songs, Justice asked
all drivers to stand. "If it wasn't
for you men and women who
sacrifi ce your time with your
family, your home and your
friends to sit behind that wheel
to keep this country rolling,
none of this would be happen-
ing here in Dallas," he said.
Justice performed three songs
that later were recorded in
Nashville, Tenn., to include on
a third album of original truck-
ing-themed country music. He's
hopeful for its release soon.
