PRODUCT ROUNDUP EQUIPMENT FOCUS PRODUCT ROUNDUP PRODUCTS EQUIPMENT FOCUS COMMERCIAL RIDING MOWERS www.outdoorpowerequipment.com OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT DECEMBER 2015 33 EXMARK SUSPENDED OPERATOR PLATFORM FOR LAZER Z MOWERS A factory-installed upgrade available on 2015 Exmark Lazer Z E-Series and Lazer Z X-Series zero-turn mowers, the suspended operator platform uses coil-over hydraulic dampers to significantly reduce the impact of bumps and vibra- tion on the operator. The design retains the cut quality and performance advantages of the Lazer Z, while delivering 3.6 inches of travel in vertical and fore-aft directions. There's no harsh bottoming, and trailing arms limit lateral travel for increased stability. The suspended operator platform is easy to adjust, without tools, for virtually any rider or ride- quality preference, and a new seat design includes patented Iso-Mount isolation, with Elastomeric Vibration Control (EVC) stretch fabric and plush foam padding for outstanding comfort. Exmark Mfg. FERRIS IS 3200Z The Ferris IS 3200Z will feature 3 new top-of-the- line powerful commercial engine options for model year 2016. Commercial cutters can select a Briggs & Stratton 32-gross-hp., 896-cc Vanguard Big Block; a Briggs & Stratton 37-gross-hp., 993-cc Vanguard Big Block with EFI; or a Kawasaki 35-gross-hp., 999-cc FX1000V engine. By combin- ing these high-performance engines with other commercial-grade components, the IS 3200Z offers outstanding durability and performance. Its patented suspension system, consisting of rear coil-over-shocks with front independent adjustable coil-over-shocks, enables the operator to mow faster on uneven terrain with a consistent quality of cut. The result is increased productivity. Commercial cutters can also count on dual commercial Hydro-Gear ZT-5400 powertrain transaxles with 9-inch cooling fans; a 61- or 72-inch fabricated-steel iCD Cutting System with professional lawn striper; Hercules II cast-iron greaseable mower spindles; a foot- operated mower deck lift with adjustable cutting height positions; a new premium high-back adjustable seat; and large 26-inch drive tires. Ferris, a brand of Briggs & Stratton Turf & Consumer Products GRASSHOPPER'S EXPANDED, ENHANCED 100V SERIES New for 2016, select Grasshopper 100V Se- ries mowers will be equipped with 61-inch cut- ting decks capable of mowing up to 4.5 acres per hour, making the 100V Series an ideal entry point for commercial contractors look- ing to step up from walk-behind or stand-on mowers. In addition, 100V Series models will feature single-fill, 6.5-gallon fuel tanks located under the seat for a lower center of gravity, enhanced traction and longer mowing intervals between fill-ups. For added convenience, the fuel gauge is located in a visible location in front of the operator seat. All 100V Series models are equipped with commercial-grade components and comfort features for excellent value: fully hydraulic pump-and-wheel-motor transmissions; professional-grade engines with limited 3-year engine manufacturer warranties; 5.5-inch-deep cutting decks with effortless foot-pedal and drop-pin height adjustment; large turf-style drive tires; and fully cushioned Cordura-covered seats with padded armrests. Combined with the longest transmission fluid-change interval in its class — with no break-in period — self-tensioning belts and no more than 5 grease points, Grasshopper 100V Series mowers are designed for less maintenance, low cost of operation, extended service life and long-term value. Grasshopper 100V Series mowers are available in 41-, 48-, 52- and 61-inch cutting widths to provide the agility of a zero-turn mower with a compact size able to maneuver in tight spaces without the fatigue of a walk-behind mower. The Grasshopper Co. GRAVELY PRO-TURN 200 AND 400 ZERO-TURN MOWERS Redesigned from the inside out, the new Grave- ly Pro-Turn 200 and 400 series commercial zero-turn mowers feature smarter components, a smoother ride and more intuitive controls. An all-new constant-belt tensioning system enhanc- es overall performance. The system maintains a constant belt tension, which produces a con- sistent blade tip speed; eliminates belt slippage, which can damage belts and pulleys; improves engine efficiency and reduces the load, which save fuel and engine life; and eliminates spring adjustments, which saves time by ensuring consistent cut quality. In addition, the new deck level system features an exclusive design requiring only a 4-point adjustment, reducing parts by 50 percent, which helps the mower maintain its best cutting performance. The deck level system also eliminates deck hanger welds, resulting in a flat deck and improving cut quality. Also new for MY2016, the EZ Lift Deck System requires 25 percent less effort to operate, and is manufactured with 50 percent fewer parts. The 19 cutting positions with 1/4-inch increments help eliminate overhung loads. New custom- made seats offer more support and comfort than previous models. The Pro-Turn 200 and 400 series mowers are offered in 52-, 60- or 72-inch deck sizes, and they are available with Kawasaki or Kohler EFI engines. Gravely, an Ariens Co.
