Since its start in 1986, the series has reached more than 85,000 groundwater students, faculty members, and profes- sionals. Named in honor of Henry Darcy of France for his 1856 investigations that established the physical basis upon which groundwater hydrogeology has been studied, the series is operated through the National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation. The 2016 lecturer will be Ty Ferré, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources at the University of Arizona. His lecture is titled "Seeing Things Differently: Rethinking the Relationship between Data and Models." New Certified Sales Professional Joins Ranks A new person joined the ranks of National Ground Water Association certified professionals in October as William Mc- Cullen III of Flint & Walling Inc. in Orlando, Florida, earned the Certified Sales Professional designation by successfully passing the Certified Sales Professional Pumps exam.
