Kawasaki's KHDS600A and KHDS750A hedge trimmers Kawasaki's KHDS600A and KHDS750A hedge trimmers run cleaner, use less fuel, and provide excellent accelera- tion for professionals that count on their equipment to provide fast, precise cuts. Each unit is powered by an en- gine with Kawasaki's A/F (Air/Fuel) Technology that displaces 22.5cc. The KHDS600A and KHDS750A offer low noise, minimal vibration, and ease of handling due to their weights of 11.5 and 11.9 pounds, respectively. The trimmers feature chrome-plated blades that last up to 5 times longer before needing sharpening. Double-sided blade length for the KHDS600A is 24 inches, and the KHDS750A (pictured) boasts 30-inch blades. Little Wonder commercial-duty hedge trimmers Little Wonder offers 7 commercial-duty hedge trimmers, including 3 electric single-edge models, 3 electric dou- ble-edge models, and 1 gas single-edge model. The electric models are available in 19-, 24- and 30-inch cutting blades, while the gas model comes with a 30-inch cutting blade. All Little Wonder hedge trimmers boast dual- reciprocating blades made from individually hand-finished high-carbon steel to maintain a sharp cutting edge even after heavy-duty use. These blades glide back and forth for flawless, fatigue-free trimming even at speeds of up to 2,700 cuts per minute on growth up 1/2-inch thick for the electric models and up to 3,500 cuts per minute on growth up to 1-inch thick for the gas model. RedMax SRTZ2460 hedge trimmer The RedMax SRTZ2460 articulating hedge trimmer is designed for professionals who require a long-reach trim- mer for tall hedges or difficult cutting angles. Its 24-inch blade can rotate up to 135 degrees for maximum ma- neuverability. The SRTZ2460's Strato-Charged 2-stroke engine offers ultra-low emissions without using a catalytic converter, yet it doesn't compromise power. Steel-needle sealed bearings on the blade connecting rods extend the life of the SRTZ2460 and enhance its performance. A vibration-dampening system on the rear handle reduces operator fatigue. Shindaiwa DH254 hedge trimmers The Shindaiwa DH254 hedge trimmers are powered by fuel-efficient, low-emission Hybrid 4 engine technology. The 2-stroke/4-stroke hybrid combines the best of both engine technologies. Available in either 24- or 30-inch lengths, the DH254 models feature chrome-plated, self-adjusting blades. Both models have excellent balance from blade tip to rear handle. Stihl HSA 65 lithium-ion hedge trimmer Powered by 36-volt Stihl lithium-ion battery technology, the Stihl HSA 65 helps achieve environmentally respon- sible hedge trimming with professional results. This hedge trimmer is 4 times quieter than its gasoline-powered equivalent. It features diamond-ground blade edges for cleaner cuts, as well as high cutting speeds to trim job times as fast as it cuts fuel costs. With zero exhaust emissions and reduced noise, this cordless hedge trimmer is ideal for use in noise- and emission-sensitive places. The 20-inch blade length is a handy working length for most applications. Portable and lightweight, the Stihl HSA 65 comes with an onboard hanging slot for easy stor- age and convenience. A tip protector helps prevent accidental contact. TMC's PHT3000V hedge trimmer TMC's PHT3000V is a 32-inch, single-sided hedge trimmer. Its 22.5-cc Kawasaki engine and heavy-duty gearbox combine to generate a dual-reciprocating cutting speed of 40.55 inches per second. Matched forged-iron blades stay sharper longer, and with minimal gaps between the top and bottom blades, cut through both fine and coarse materials with ease. Heavy-duty gears, cams and rods efficiently and durably transfer power from the engine to the cutting surface. The looped aluminum handle and trigger-type throttle lever enable the operator to easily ma- neuver the PHT3000V to virtually any cutting angle. The PHT3000V's light weight (12.4 pounds) and even weight distribution allow for longer and more comfortable use. www.landscapeirrigation.com Landscape and Irrigation 27
