Product Round-up HEDGE TRIMMERS CORE Outdoor Power GasLess hedge trimmer In summer 2012, CORE Outdoor Power is slated to launch the second product from its suite of environmentally friendly power equipment. At 12 pounds, the CORE GasLess hedge trimmer has a run time of up to 90 minutes and a blade length of 22 inches. Completely gas and emission free, the hedge trimmer uses CORE technology, a compact and lightweight motor device invented by a team of expert engineers at CORE Outdoor Power. The motor works by means of embedding copper-etched conductors into a multi-layered circuit board stator, which when coupled with permanent magnets, allows for high torque at extremely high efficiencies. Cub Cadet's lithium-ion hedge trimmer Cub Cadet's lithium-ion hedge trimmer has dual-action blades that cut branches faster. The unit's 20-volt, lithium- ion, long-use battery provides 3 times the number of lifecycle charges. The 22-inch, precision-sharpened, steel blades offer extended reach and even cutting. A 3-sided, comfort-grip handle provides a larger gripping area for better comfort and control. Other features include a lock-off button for safety, 9/16-inch cutting capacity and an aluminum rail. Echo's HC-165 and HC-185 hedge clippers Echo's HC-165 and HC-185 hedge clippers each boast a 21.2-cc Power Boost Vortex engine for powerful perform- ance. They also feature heavy-duty gear cases for maximum cutting durability, commercial-duty air filtration sys- tems to provide longer engine life, vibration reduction systems to provide operator comfort, and i-30 technology to reduce starting effort by 30 percent. The HC-165 (24-inch blade) and HC-185 (30-inch blade) boast a 5-position rotating rear handle for a variety of cutting positions, as well as Echo-exclusive double-sided, double- reciprocating RazorEdge blades for long-lasting sharpness and enhanced cutting performance. efco TG 2750 XP Hedge trimming is made easier by the efco TG 2750 XP. The robust design leads to long product life during tough use. The rear handle is adjustable to facilitate convenient cutting of the sides and top of hedges. The X-Torq engine design reduces harmful exhaust emissions by up to 60 percent, and increases fuel efficiency by up to 20 percent. Jonsered's HT 2124 and HT 2124T hedge trimmers Jonsered offers 2 lightweight hedge trimmers — the HT 2124 and HT 2124T — with blade lengths of 21.5 and 23.5 inches, respectively. Both models boast a 22.5-cc engine, as well as an air purge primer and choke for fast, reliable starting. The HT 2124T (pictured) has a 3-position, twist-lock rotating handle that easily adjusts on the fly to handle various cutting angles with less operator fatigue. Both models also have a spring-assist starting sys- tem, which greatly reduces the pulling force required.
