May 2016 | Overdrive | 67 Fleet News Houston-based bulk hauler TRIMAC TRANSPORTATION launched a com- mercial driver's license tuition reimbursement program that will pay qualifying students monthly until the tuition has been fully reimbursed or the employee is no longer with the company, up to a maximum of $5,000. To be eligible, drivers must attend a Trimac-approved driv- ing school. A full list of approved schools can be found at careers. trimac.com. Trimac offers tuition reimbursement By Dean SmallwooD FACILITIES ROADRUNNER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS moved into new facil- ities in Dallas and Houston to expand capacity for its growing customer bases in those mar- kets. The Cudahy, Wis.-based less-than-truckload company also now operates its own facil- ity in Memphis, Tenn., to add capacity while also improving efficiency and service levels by providing direct service to cus- tomers in that market. Roadrunner also recently added an optional premium service with guaranteed deliv- ery on a scheduled day in select major metropolitan markets. HONORS BISON TRANSPORT recognized Roger Maltman, who became its first driver to complete three million consecutive accident-free miles. Maltman has been a company driver at Bison since 1994 and cur- rently is part of the Winnipeg, Manitoba-based fleet's Long Combination Vehicle network, hauling two 53-foot trailers with a single tractor. Bison also recognized driv- ers Lloyd Braun and Bryan McCaughan, who became its third and fourth drivers, respectively, to achieve 2.5 million safe miles.
