In Scottsbluff and Gering, 40 in- spections by the Metropolitan Aggres- sive and Prevention Selective teams found 165 violations that resulted in $3,475 in fi nes. Two drivers were put out of service for not having com- mercial driver's licenses, one for log book violations and one over driver qualifi cations. This fall, the blitzes will concentrate on routes that do not go outside cities or by weigh stations. MAPS teams consist of 20-24 State Patrol Carrier Enforcement Division offi cers. A Sarpy County blitz April 27 resulted in fi ve drivers placed out of service, the most issued in this category. The most vehi- cles placed out of service was in Lincoln, when 45 orders were written April 26.
