www.outdoorpowerequipment.com OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT MARCH 2017 11 Kawasaki Engines names new OEM sales manager K awasaki Engines, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A, recently hired Grand Rapids native Todd Sytsma as an OEM sales manager. In his new role, Sytsma will oversee relationships with the OEM community. Most recently, Sytsma worked for Michigan-based Visual Workplace, Inc. in both sales and distribution management roles. He has also held sales posts in the offi ce furniture industry. "Todd's mix of both inside and outside sales experience will bring a valued perspective to his position with Kawasaki," said Kurt Forrest, director of OEM sales, Kawasaki Engines. "Part of our continuing focus on satisfying the needs of our OEM business partners is making sure that the interface between our company and theirs is as seamless as possible." Sytsma holds a business administration degree from Calvin College. He and his wife have a young daughter. Altoz hires industry veteran A ltoz, a Greenbush, Minn.-based manufacturer of high- performance zero-turn-radius (ZTR) mowers, recently hired Randy Harris as district sales manager. Harris will provide support for existing dealers and continue to grow the Altoz dealer network in Tennessee, Kentucky and surrounding areas. "Randy is a seasoned veteran of the power equipment industry and will be a huge asset to the Altoz sales team," said Dennis Brazier, Altoz chief executive offi cer. "Over his extensive career, Randy has held just about every position in the power equipment industry, including repair, purchasing, operations, inventory management, distribution, sales and customer relations. He really understands the business from all perspectives." Harris joins Altoz with an impressive resumé spanning 37 years in the power equipment industry. Most recently, Harris served as territory sales and service manager for Power Distributors. Harris started his career at the Dickson Farmers Coop in his hometown of Dickson, Tenn., where he oversaw operations, sales and repair for nearly 20 years.
