PowerPulse® Maintenance Systems for 12/24/36/48-Volt Batteries The PowerPulse Maintenance System was selected as a Top 50 Product by Automotive Engineering mag- azine and is designed to ensure maximum battery performance in frequently used vehicles or pieces of equipment. It is not a charger. Charging alone doesn't eliminate the main cause of battery failure – energy robbing lead sulfate deposits on battery plates. During this process, the plates gradually become more and more clogged with microscopic lead sulfate deposits. These deposits eventually limit the surface area avail- able for energy transfer and cut back the battery's ability to accept, store and release energy. Instead, the PowerPulse is a performance enhancing device designed to help batteries charge faster and provide maximum performance and power by gener- ating an intermittent, optimized high frequency pulse that reduces existing sulfate deposits and keeps them from building up again. This patented Pulse Technol- ogy enables batteries to accept, store and release maximum power when needed. "We put a 36-Volt PowerPulse on a forklift with an eight year-old battery. Before installing the Power- Pulse the battery would only last about half a day be- fore we had to recharge it. Now it lasts three days before we have to charge it. It's always running in the green." — Gary Hutchinson, Darr Equipment, Wichita Falls, TX This small, weather proof product can supplement your existing charging system and can be powered in two different ways. When the battery is being charged either by an onboard charger or a separate charging system, it will use the charging current as a power source. The rest of the time PowerPulse uses a small portion of the battery's own energy so it is working 24-hours a day so you don't need an electrical outlet. Accordingly, it should only be used on vehicles or equipment that are regularly used and frequently charged. The PowerPulse is available in 12-Volt, 24-Volt, 36-Volt and 48-Volt models that can be used on all lead-acid batteries including conventional flooded, sealed maintenance-free, Valve Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA), Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM), hybrid, antimony, and cal- cium-plate designs. Units work with single batteries, batteries in parallel and batteries in series. Refer to the chart below for the various Power- Pulse configurations. "As a happy user for almost six years, I think PowerPulse units are essen- tial... After installing my units, I noticed improved performance almost imme- diately. Their claim of increased bat- tery life in my opinion is substantial... It is my opinion that these units with proper care and maintenance makes batteries far less of a weak link." — David Bawden, Delia, KS Model No. PP-12-L PP-24-L PP-36-L PP-48-L Specifications (All models) Dimensions: 4" x 1.75" x 1" Shipping Weight: 0.5 lbs.
