Supply by Kerry Clines, Senior Editor kclines@randallreilly.com WEIGH AS YOU CONVEY Conveyor belt scales can help operators keep track of aggregate production before it hits loadout. Tecweigh | Tecnetics Industries, Inc. INCORPORATES ELECTRONICS, MODULAR DESIGN Schenck Process CONTINUOUS FLOW RATES Tecweigh says its HY15 hybrid belt scale was designed to incorporate the company's electronics package with the less-costly modular scale frame design. Featuring two NTEP-approved strain-gauge load cells, it incorporates one rigid mount and one flexible module, and offers a single-idler accuracy of 1/2 percent to 1 percent. The scale comes with a complete installation kit, mechanical overload protection, a signal conditioning enclosure, calibration weight brackets, a speed sensor, and a five-year warranty. Tecweigh | Tecnetics Industries, Inc. | www.tecweigh.com Schenck Process says its BEMP single-idler belt scale combines quality, performance, and affordability in a modular package. The scale mounts to the conveyor frame using only four bolts. It utilizes two NTEP-approved single-point load cells with rated capacities up to 660 pounds and the INTECONT Satus Integrator, making accuracies of +/- 1 percent possible. Schenck Process | www.schenckamericas.com Superior Industries PINPOINT ACCURACY Superior says its belt scale is designed with two independent load cells to achieve and transmit greater accuracy. The scale is available in two models — WB Scale and HD Scale. The WB (wide belt) delivers +/1-percent accuracy readings and is suited for production up to 1,000 tons per hour. The HD (heavy duty) is designed around a continuous weigh bridge. It generates weight readings of +/- 0.5 percent and is recommended for production up to 3,000 tons per hour. Available in four different models with accuracies ranging from +/- 1 percent to +/- 1/8 percent, the scales incorporate a speed sensor and the Micro-Tech 9101 belt scale integrator to monitor production output and inventory or regulate product loadout.
