(St. Paul, Minn.), an energy, grains and foods company and the nation's leading farmer-owned cooperative is acquiring Phillips 66's wholesale propane marketing business, effective April 1. distribution assets held within PNEC Corporation which does business as SC Fuels, headquartered in Tacoma, WA. This acquisition also includes PNEC distribution facilities in Bremerton and Everett, WA. The transaction is scheduled to close on February 15, 2013. Terms were not disclosed. One of the largest privately held services companies in Washington State, Pettit Oil Company operates distribution facilities in Everett, Lakewood, Hoquiam, Forks, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, and Bremerton, Washington. The company supplies fuels and lubricants to a variety of customers within the marine, commercial, industrial, automotive, retail, and heating oil categories. The company recently sold its branded fuels business (supplying 104 sites) in the Pacific Northwest to Meridian, Idahobased Jackson Oil Co. to concentrate more on its commercial and heating oil operations. "This strategic acquisition will increase our customer base and expand the CHS propane service area in the Northeast, Southeast and Central states," said John Duchscherer, director of propane sales and marketing for CHS, one of the nation's largest propane wholesalers. "We are also gaining additional resources to help us continue providing a safe, reliable supply of propane to our customers." The transaction consists of customer business only and does not include physical assets; additional details were not disclosed. CHS will serve its new customers from its existing, extensive supply infrastructure, which is fed by all major pipelines in the United States. The company's ongoing investment in a robust supply network reflects CHS commitment to serving customer needs and adding value for its member owners, as well as its aspiration to become the leading domestic supplier of propane, Duchscherer added. KSS Fuels has announced that Aaron McHugh has joined the management team as vice president of sales for North America. He will lead the North American sales team and be responsible for growing business in the Pricing and Location Intelligence areas as well as contributing to product direction and strategic partnerships. McHugh joined Skyline Products in January 2005 with responsibility for bringing to market the PriceAdvantage fuel pricing application. His early pioneering work involved shaping product functionality to retailer needs, developing partner relationships and driving sales in North America. Quality and consistency remain the hallmarks of the company. n NRC Realty & Capital Advisors announces Tri Star Energy divestiture NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, LLC (Chicago) has announced that it has been engaged by Tri Star Energy, LLC ("Tri Star") of Nashville, Tennessee to conduct the strategic divestiture of 22 convenience stores and retail gasoline outlets and three parcels of undeveloped land in Tennessee. The convenience stores to be sold include a diverse mix of company-operated and consignment sites. The locations and business interests will be sold through NRC's sealed bid sale process in a "buy one, some or all" format.
