Vinyl manufacturers lay out strategies for 2013 In October of 2012, members of the Vinyl Fence, Deck and Railing Manufacturers Association (VFDRMA) steering committee met to shape the direction of the organization for 2013. VFDRMA���s strategic plan was updated to focus on the following goals and strategies for the coming year: ��� Develop an accreditation program: In 2013, VFDRMA will develop a comprehensive accreditation program whose purpose will be to verify to customers (distributors, contractors, code officials, consumers, specifiers) that the products of accredited companies meet or exceed industry standards and are made through a quality process. VFDRMA plans to implement and market this program in 2014. ��� Continue work on product acceptance through model codes. ��� Monitor industry issues and influence when necessary: VFDRMA continues to monitor issues that affect the vinyl market, including potential standards changes. ��� Grow VFDRMA membership: VFDRMA is working for widespread support from all levels of the industry to ensure that all levels of membership have a voice in the advancement of our strategic objectives. ��� Develop a communications plan to reach out to members on a regular basis: Plans include a quarterly newsletter (from which this report was taken) to keep you updated on important events and news affecting the vinyl fence, deck and railing industry.
