Using a "Multi-Layer Concept", every Galvin Green garment (and its component layers) has been developed to cover specific playing conditions. This concept had its origins more than a decade ago when they began thinking about using the right materials in the right combinations to maximize performance whether it's rainy and cold or warm and dry. This thinking led them to combine some of the latest technology material advances from GORE-TEX™ to the ultra-thin Windstopper™ membrane to the performance Skintight™ MATS LUNDQVIST, GALVIN GREEN Compression Technology. PRODUCT MANAGER While the GORE-TEX name may be famous, the others may be a little less well-known. Windstopper is a unique fabric with micropores 900 times larger than water vapour which while virtually impervious to wind allows perspiration to pass through unhindered. The video clip of the skydiver making a high-altitude, ultra-low temperature 14 descent wearing a suit made using this material is a must-see. Skintight™ is also a highly breathable material that keeps moisture away from your skin making it a great base layer. Aside from creating a warm and comfortable feeling throughout, its Compression Technology adds some other important features. The firm fit increases the blood flow and oxygen level in the muscles, providing better circulation and greater stamina. This material is so specifically made that it comes in two different versions, one for temperatures below 20° C, another for temperatures below 10° C. Cool materials are one thing; making performance golf apparel is another. The real key here is how Galvin Green combines and orders these layers to meet specific playing conditions ensuring comfort with breathability and moisture transportation. Think layering. Think breathability. Think comfort. The driving force behind this unique approach is Mats Lundqvist, long-time Product Manager for Galvin Green.
