There's no guess work because the fuse-protected XC100-P is fully automatic and microprocessor-controlled. It cannot overheat, spark or overcharge the connected battery. Proprietary algorithms combined with microprocessor-controlled technology measure the battery's voltage and current to automatically determine and deliver the precise charge rate based on the size and condition of the individual battery, both initially and throughout the five-stage charge process. Status lights show when the unit poser is on, pulsing and charging, as well as the battery's state of charge, displayed as a percentage. Xtreme Charge is more than a battery charger and maintainer, it extends a battery's life with patented Pulse Technology. High frequency pulsing cycles are imposed into the battery and work to continuously break up and reduce both the number and size of sulfation deposits on battery plates. These deposits decrease the battery's ability to accept, store and release energy.
