GEAR GUIDE 12GA. CUSTOMS' BLIND-MOUNT LIFT STYLE Guelph, Ontario-based 12Ga. Customs now offers both lift and flip bumpers with a blind-mount option and several different end-design features. The bumpers come in 20- and 22-inch sizes with either a box end, rolled end, American Eagle style, tapered end or straight end. 12Ga. manufactures its bumpers from either steel or stainless steel and can incorporate lights, company names and other customizable options. 12Ga. Customs, 12gacustoms.com, 519-766-0943. 5 LINCOLN CHROME-PLATED OPTIONS Lincoln Chrome manufactures 18-, 20- and 22-inch boxed-in and miter-styled bumpers from seven-gauge steel, and they come with standard-mount, blind-mount and flip-mount options. The bumpers are chrome-plated using Lincoln's finishing process. Lincoln Chrome, lincolnchrome.com, 888-966-6609. OUTLAW'S ROLLED BUMPER The Rolled Bumper from Outlaw Customs was designed to create a smooth look by matching the bumper's lines with that of the body's lines, playing off of the old-style, hot rod look. Outlaw Customs, outlawcustoms.com, 303-952-8109. 12GA. CUSTOMS' LIFT BUMPER An alternative to the flip-style bumper is available from Jeff Battler's 12ga Customs chrome shop in Guelph, Ontario. It's called the "lift-style" bumper. Its opening mechanism pushes the bumper out and up, as opposed to flipping the bottom of the bumper outward. "It's pretty cool because it is so universal," Battler says. "It can be used on amy model truck." 12 Ga. Customs, 12gacustoms.com, 519-766-0943. BumperCrop.indd 5 5/9/13 2:08 PM
