Atlas Buys Terex Heavy Wheel Loader Line
Atlas Maschinen GmbH
has announced the purchase
of all intellectual properties
for the Terex TL160, TL210,
TL260 and TL310 heavy wheel
loaders. During the last quarter
of this year, production will be
moved from Terex Crailsheim
to the Atlas factory in Ganderkesee, Germany.
Atlas will produce
machines under the Terex
brand and under the new
brand Kaelble/Atlas. Wheel
loaders under the brand name
Kaelble/Atlas will incorporate
the required improvements
when EU Stage 4 emissions
regulations take effect in
2014. The company said Terex
distributors will continue their
relationship with Terex unless
other agreements are made. "I
am happy that Atlas Maschinen
GmbH will finally enter this
important market with known
products and the well-known
Kaelble brand," said Fil Filipov,
owner and chairman of Atlas
Maschinen GmbH, who is
also a former Terex executive.
"Combining the Kaelble large
loaders will give the distribution a respectable heavy wheel
