Snow Removal Cat 906H2 compact wheel loader The Cat 906H2 compact wheel loader is equipped with a Cat C3.3B DIT engine that meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim emission standards. The Cat 906H2 delivers high performance with 74 gross hp., and a breakout force of 9,442 pounds. With 18 degrees of motion, the oscillating chassis helps ensure 4-wheel ground contact for optimum traction, and standard differential locks in both heavy-duty axles can be engaged on the move. Cat Work Tool Attachments can be changed quickly and easily. Paired with the snow blower — designed to remove snow from streets, parking lots, sidewalks and driveways — the 906H2 transforms into the ultimate snow and ice management machine. Cat work tool options include buckets, material handling arm, forks, power box rakes, augers, snow pushers, brooms, stump grinders, cold planers, trenchers, landscape rakes, vibratory compactors, landscape tillers and snow blowers. Cub Cadet three-stage walk-behind snow thrower Cub Cadet's new 3X, the flagship of Cub Cadet's X Series extreme line of snow throwers, clears snow up to 50 percent faster than the 2X two-stage snow thrower. The 3X three-stage snow thrower easily cuts through 18 inches of heavy, wet snow. The patent-pending three-stage system works by first gathering snow, ice and slush and moving it toward the center. Then Cub Cadet's new high-volume accelerator cuts and chops through winter's worst, accelerating it into the highperformance discharge impeller, where it's thrown up and out of the high-impact chute. These three stages work together to move more snow faster while putting you in complete control of speed and maneuverability. Features include pushbutton electric start; trigger-controlled power steering; Cool Blue skid shoes; and a 3-year limited residential warranty, 1-year limited commercial warranty, plus a 5-year limited warranty on the 3X auger gearbox. Honda 928 series snowblower lineup Powered by a high-torque Honda GX270 overhead valve (OHV) engine, the HS928 Series is intended for aggressive snow clearing in demanding environments, and is available in both wheel-driven and dual-track, self-propelled models. Its enhanced design enables a 28-inch clearing width and a discharge distance of up to 49 feet. The HS928 also offers a choice of manual or electric starting. The 50-state-compliant engine meets all current and expected EPA and California ARB standards. Features include 2-inch taller handlebars, standard work light, reversible 2-position skid shoes, lower noise profile, individual throttle and choke controls, taller fuel cap, and 2-ply tires. Also includes self-propelled, infinitely variable hydrostatic drive; wheel drive; 28-inch clearing width; 20-inch clearing height; and clears up to 50 tons per hour. Loftness offers complete line of snow blowers Loftness' line of snow blowers accommodates many makes and models of skid-steers and tractors. Each unit is built with heavy-duty construction for maximum reliability and high performance. Skid-steer snow blowers are offered for a wide variety of flow rates, starting as low as 15 gpm. Seven models are available in 72- to 84-inch widths. They come with a universal coupler, a single motor design, and an electric spout rotator. A total of 11 rear-mount, PTO-driven tractor models are also offered with one-, two- or three-auger configurations. Available in 60- to 108-inch widths, they accommodate tractors with 540- or 1,000-rpm PTO drives and 16- to 200-PTO horsepower. The units feature two-stage designs for highly efficient operation. All components feature heavy-duty construction, including the auger, impeller, spout, gearbox and chain drive. Other standard features include adjustable skid shoes, reinforced body braces and shear bolt protection. SnowEx SuperMaxx II spreaders SnowEx SuperMaxx II spreaders are available with 3.3-, 4.3- and 6.0-cubic-yard capacities, and are engineered for superior pre-wetting integration and optimal weight distribution. SuperMaxx II spreaders feature an enhanced material feed system with a new stainless-steel trough, where brine and salt are mixed before being delivered to the spinner. The spreaders also feature cab-forward hoppers with up to 33-percent better payload distribution, resulting in improved safety and reduced stress on the carrying vehicle. The hoppers are made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant polyethylene and include a multi-angle design to promote a continuous flow of material to the auger feed system. Furthermore, an inverted "V" baffle and attached vibrator reduce clumping and allow the units to spread all bulk materials, including 100-percent salt, 100-percent sand and any combination in between. With a variable spread width up to 40 feet, the SuperMaxx's 12inch stainless-steel spinner contains adjustable cups for maximum control over the spread pattern. Turf Teq Power Broom The 18-inch-diameter-by-46-inch-wide brush of the Turf Teq Power Broom is ideal for snow removal from 2 to 4 inches deep. Brush pressure, brush speed and pivot angle (left/right) can all be adjusted easily from the operator position. The Turf Teq Power Broom features a fully hydrostatic transmission with forward/reverse and a 13-hp. Honda engine. The multi-use capability allows the Power Broom to be converted into a snow plow, power edger, power rake or brush cutter for all-season use. Ventrac snow equipment Ventrac offers compact, articulating, all-wheel-drive tractors and professional-grade attachments for snow maintenance such as snow blowers, V-blades, rotary brooms, spreaders, heated cabs and more. The Ventrac snow package includes a 2-stage heavy-duty snowblower with plenty of power to quickly clear heavy sidewalk snow. In addition, the broom attachment can clear sidewalks of snow and ice efficiently when time is of essence. The V-blade and power angle blade are designed for pushing snow off of parking lots and driveways. All snow attachments connect to the Ventrac tractor quickly and easily using the Ventrac Mount System for a more efficient work flow. Employees stay warm, dry and protected in the cab specifically designed for Ventrac tractors. 22 Landscape and Irrigation October 2013 www.landscapeirrigation.com
