Equipment Focus Hustler Super 104 The Super 104 is an affordable wide-area mower with the maneuverability of a zero-turn. Features include Kawasaki FX1000 engine; 104-inch cutting width; Hyper-Drive System; Grammer premium suspension seat (standard); simple, service-friendly design; and hydraulic wing deck lift for easy trailerability. The Super 104 can mow up to 84 acres in 8 hours at 10 mph, and will mow where most wide-area mowers cannot. Increase productivity by 45 percent over competitive 72-inch zero-turn mowers. John Deere Z900 mowers The John Deere B Series features the Z915B, a 23.3-hp. model with the option of a 48-, 54- or 60-inch 7-Iron II deck. B Series mowers are equipped with full-size rear tires for increased stability on hillsides and can travel up to 10 mph. The M Series offers professional landscapers 5 different mower options (Z920M, Z925M EFI, Z925M Flex Fuel, Z930M, and Z930M EFI) and horsepower ranging from 23.5 to 25.5 hp. With a top speed of 10 mph, the M Series offers flat-free front tires and cast-iron front forks. Professionals interested in a top-of-the-line ZTR need to look no further than the R Series. Five models (Z920R, Z930R, Z950R, Z960R and Z970R), with horsepower ranging from 23.5 to 35 hp., round out this high-performing line. Kubota ZP330 Kubota Tractor Corporation's eco-conscious ZP330 — featuring either a 60- or 72-inch deck option — boasts a 31-gross-horsepower 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, liquid propane gas (LPG) engine for reduced CO2 emissions. The engine's clean-burning propane also eliminates carburetor maintenance and vapor lock problems along with the convenience of long-time storage without worry of fuel deterioration — providing optimal performance for years to come. Engineered with a 6.5-inch-deep design and unique baffling, Kubota's Pro Commercial deck efficiently generates high suction for a defined cut, while maintaining proper airflow for effective clipping discharge. Additionally, the deck is shaft driven with a hydraulic wet-type PTO clutch, ensuring solid engagement and years of lasting performance. As with all Kubota Z-Series mowers, the new propane engine model comes equipped with Kubota's high-performance twin hydrostatic transmission (HST) for smooth operations. Scag Turf Tiger The Scag Turf Tiger is built to handle the toughest mowing jobs. With a heavy-duty hydraulic drive system, auxiliary oil coolers, double-tube steel main frame, and driveshaft-powered cutter deck, the Turf Tiger offers strength and performance. A variety of gas, diesel, and propane engine options deliver maximum power. An ultra-low center of gravity and wide stance ensure traction and stability. Ground speeds up to 12 mph result in maximum productivity. The "Command-Comfort" operator's station provides a customized fit for operators of all sizes. Scag mowers feature a 2-year commercial, or 3-year non-commercial mower warranty, along with a 3year limited cutter deck and spindle warranty. Toro Z Master Professional 6000 34-hp. EFI mowers For landscape customers looking for a lot of horsepower without sacrificing fuel efficiency, Toro now offers two 34-hp. EFI Z Master Professional 6000 Series mowers with a 60- or 72-inch deck. The Kohler closed-loop EFI system uses less fuel and reduces the engine's CO2 emissions, so it's friendly to the environment while reducing fuel costs. As with all Toro Professional 6000 Series mowers, the new EFI models feature Toro's exclusive Turbo Force deck, built for durability and stable handling while delivering a pristine after-cut appearance. These units are also outfitted with a thick, cushioned deluxe suspension seat and 3-D isolator mounts that absorb vibration and reduce operator fatigue. Walker EFI mowers With fuel savings ranging from 15 to 30 percent, electronic fuel injection (EFI) engine options have become popular among Walker customers — more than 40 percent of Walker product is now being sold with EFI. Since the late '90s, Kohler Engines has been a pioneer of EFI technology in small engines. Walker has produced more than 20,000 machines with Kohler EFI engines since 1998. Walker models with EFI engines include the MBK23 (23-hp. Kohler EFI), MT26 (26-hp. Kohler EFI), MBS29 (29-hp. Kohler EFI) and MTL31 (31-hp. Kohler liquidcooled, EFI). The MBK23 and MBS29 are also now using Kohler's new Delphi electronic control system for improved fuel efficiency, throttle response and engine life. Wright Mfg. to introduce new compact Stander Intensity Wright Manufacturing will unveil a new, compact Stander at GIE+EXPO. The Stander Intensity, to be known as the Stander I, is equipped with the first 36-inch deck to incorporate Wright's AERO CORE technology. Operators will appreciate the deck's improved airflow, cut quality and anti-blow out features. The floating deck on the Stander I tilts side to side and front to back, allowing the mower deck to better follow the terrain contours. It also improves the weight distribution for better handling on hills. This flotation feature is similar to that found on the Stander X and ZK. Test drive the Stander Intensity at Wright's outdoor booth, #7624-D, at GIE+EXPO or examine it in the comfort of the exhibit hall at booth #3094. 8 Landscape and Irrigation October 2013 www.landscapeirrigation.com
