Filled with cool winter light, the conservatory
brings warmth with its signature gold and red,
twinkling lights, glass cloches, floral arrangements,
and topiaries.
Captain Pabst's private study is stunningly natural
in seasonal colors with a forest of pinecones, eucalyptus, bird nests, and cardinals. The regency room
holds the spirit of Emma Pabst's bedroom with a
vintage dress, stylish hats, and tea. Known for its
vast amount of rich woodwork, the second floor
foyer has earthy holiday décor to accent and features the Mansion's most recently conserved painting, Absheid von der heimat by Karl Rach.
Elsbeth's bedroom suits the youngest member of
the Pabst family with its pink and gold décor. The
room features the Schandein family crib (Mrs.
Pabst's family) The master sitting room is a fantasy
of sugar plums, fairies, and candy, while the master
bedroom is interpreted with a contrasting modern
gold and green treatment.
Beeswax is a holiday tradition at the Pabst
Mansion, and in the butler's pantry original
beeswax creations are available for purchase as
well as honey sticks from Evergreen Acres Farm.
Visitors also can buy decorations at the last top on
the tour, the Pabst Mansion's gift shop.
A Grand Avenue Christmas is sponsored in part by
