HVAC/ HYDRONICS 2014 AHR Expo Coming to New York January 21-23 T he 2014 AHR Expo is coming right up and is on track and it may be a banner year for the event with a record number of exhibitors. The expo, which began in 1930, digs deep into all things HVACR and covers new products, new tactics and industry experts offering face-to-face business intelligence. Some 51,000 attendees from all facets of the industry including contractors, engineers, dealers, distributors, OEMs, builders and plant operators took in the 2013 expo in Dallas. In 2013, 33,891 visitors took in the expo to learn during more than 100 educational seminars and talked shop and traded business cards with 1,951 exhibitors. The 2014 AHR Expo, co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, has already sold out of exhibitor space and is on track to set new records for attendance. "The 2008 Show in New York set several Northeast records and an all-time AHR Expo attendance record, which was subsequently narrowly surpassed by the 2012 Show in Chicago," said Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company. "Based on the record amount of exhibit space already reserved, the attendee preregistration numbers and the total hotel rooms booked, we could be on track for another record-breaking event." Attendees can look forward to cutting-edge industry products, free and premium educational sessions and personal meetings with trade associations and industry meetings. New this year is the online product and supplier matching service to help attendees find their critical products and companies with tailored solutions. Anyone in the HVACR industry from business owners to truck drivers and front-line technicians will find something novel from the 2014 expo. Educational Seminars The 2014 AHR Expo will feature more than 100 educational sessions through the course of the week. Both free and premium sessions are available to all attendees. Ranging from green developments to best practices from industry experts, the seminars look to be a goldmine for busy HVACR professionals who just don't have time to research their days away. According to AHR Expo show management, nearly one third of the more than 100 educational sessions being offered by ASHRAE and AHR Expo during the Show will be focused specifically on achieving greater energy efficiency and sustainability. Ranging from seminars on such broad-based topics as "Effective Energy Management in New and Existing Buildings" to more specific topics like "Data Center Energy Efficiency," these sessions are designed to help attendees save money on energy costs and achieve better operating performance.
