At 500 pounds less per unit than a traditional chassis design, the lighter equipment is designed to allow customers to fit more product into each load for a more cost-effective and environmen- tally friendly freight move. The Green Bay, Wis.-based compa- ny expects to convert its entire North American intermodal operation to an owned-chassis model over the next two years.
