Baeza primarily hauls merchan- dise and food and also moves Christmas trees for seasonal work. The rig, named Old Red, is powered by a 425-horse- power Cummins ISX and a 10-speed transmission. Baeza says the truck pulls better when carrying a heavy load than it does when hauling nothing. Squeaky clean Edward Rohr of Louisville, Ohio, owns Big E Trucking and hauls primarily dry heavy materials with his 2000 Peterbilt 379. The Caterpillar-powered rig has an 18-speed transmission. The Mistress Owner-operator Robert Winkelmann of Hermann, Mo., hauls logs and barrel staves from New Florence, Mo., to Lebanon, Ky., with this 2004 Peterbilt equipped with a 550-horse- power Caterpillar C15 and a 13-speed transmis- sion.
