O U T D O O R P O W E R E Q U I P M E N T MAY 2014 31 PRODUCT NEWS CORE OUTDOOR POWER iNTRODUCES CORE EliTE C O R E O u t d o o r P o w e r , t h e s o l e manufacturer of GasLess outdoor power equipment for commercial markets and the discerning homeowner, announced on April 15 the launch of its most powerful line yet, CORE Elite. The latest addition to CORE's suite of GasLess equipment currently features a higher-performance string trimmer and handheld blower with more products being introduced in the future, including a lawn mower and hedge trimmer. As CORE continues to evolve its proprie- tary motor technology to address additional market needs for the environmentally and economically conscious commercial land- scaper, upgrades to the technology have packed twice the torque into the same light- weight, emission-free package. CORE Elite boasts more power, increased efficiency and even longer run times. "We are excited to introduce yet another real solution for commercial landscapers who, up until this point, have sacrificed power and performance with other non-gas-powered products on the market today," said Lincoln Jore, presi- dent of CORE Outdoor Power. "As our motor technology continues to improve, we plan to introduce additional products that meet this same standard for profes- sional users." Weighing only 11 pounds with power cell, the new E 400 string trimmer features up to a 16-inch swath, .095-inch-diameter trimmer line and torque equivalent to a 45-cc gas engine. The 10-pound E 420 handheld blower produces wind speeds of up to 130 mph with airflow of up to 500 cfm. Both products feature soft-grip molding, offering increased durability and comfort for tackling even the most labor-intensive jobs with the same quiet operation. The new line utilizes CORE's state-of- the-art motor that works by embedding copper-etched conductors into a multi- layered circuit board stator. When coupled with permanent magnets, it produces high torque at extremely high efficiencies with zero negative impact on the environment. CORE Elite is now available for pur- chase online at www.coreoutdoorpower. com and from more than 1,700 dealers nationwide. The exclusive MOD is now available in the 2014 QuikTrak commer- cial mower lineup, which includes the 652R MOD and 652R EFI MOD models. The MOD deck was previously only avail- able in the John Deere ZTrak line. The John Deere MOD deck allows an operator to switch between mulching and side discharging without leaving the mower. This saves cleanup time by keep- ing clippings off sidewalks and driveways and out of mulch beds. The QuikTrak MOD can be converted from a wide-open side-discharge mode to a full-chambered mulching mode or any position in-between by holding down on the electric switch that is conveniently located on the dash. "The Mulch On Demand deck has proven capabilities that allow the opera- tor to boost productivity and versatility in their commercial mowing operation," said Chris Russell, John Deere product man- ager. "As the interest in stand-on mowers increases, it only made sense to integrate this industry-exclusive technology into the QuikTrak lineup. Now, more com- mercial landscape contractors can enjoy the benefits of Mulch On Demand." The 652R MOD features a commercial- quality V-twin air-cooled engine cou- pled with an easy-to-learn hydrostatic transmission. The unit is equipped with a 7-gauge, 52-inch MOD deck and a 23.5-hp. engine. The 652R EFI MOD (pictured) boasts a commercial-quality electronic fuel injected (EFI) V-twin air- cooled engine for faster starts, smoother operation, and greater efficiency. The EFI model is also equipped with a 7-gauge, 52-inch MOD deck, but comes with a 25-hp. engine. John Deere QuikTrak mowers offer a lightweight, compact footprint for easy maneuverability around obstacles and con- tours in the turf. The zero-turn capability gives it best-in-class productivity, and they are easy to trailer, allowing crews to have multiple mowers on a job site.
