Kawasaki string trimmers Kawasaki offers 6 professional-grade string trimmers, including the KGT27C, which incorporates several design up- grades. Professional landscapers like the KGT27C because of its lighter weight (just 10.4 pounds), low engine noise and low vibration. Its 26.3-cc engine is designed for “1-pull” starting and improved fuel efficiency, including a more efficient “air-fuel” carburetor design that reduces exhaust emissions to meet the toughest EPA and CARB Tier III re- quirements. In addition to the “stratified” 2-barrel carburetor, which buffers in fresh air between the intake and ex- haust cycle to reduce unburned fuel in the exhaust, Kawasaki 2-stroke engines feature a catalyst exhaust system for enhanced fuel efficiency and cleaner operation, as well as a unique enrichment starting system that eliminates the chance of flooding at start-up. Shindaiwa T254 Re-engineered from the ground up, the T254 offers the next generation of engine technology — Hybrid 4, which provides lower emissions, better fuel consumption, more torque and a low tone sound. It also features the Speed- Feed trimmer head and comfortable rubber over-mold grips. The handle is positioned at an 8-degree angle to pro- vide natural wrist position. The T254 offers a 2-year commercial and 90-day rental warranty, as well as a limited lifetime warranty on the drive shaft and major ignition components. An optional blade kit is available. Stihl FSA 85 Lithium-Ion trimmer The new FSA 85 grass trimmer — the latest product available for the 36-volt Stihl Lithium-Ion battery technology system — delivers fuel savings, time savings and environmental benefits for gasoline-free trimming applications. With this new technology, there is no more fuel mixing, no power cords, and greatly reduced engine maintenance. Plus, high cutting speeds allow the user to complete trimming tasks quickly. The Stihl FSA 85 runs at full speed until the battery is depleted, with no gradual drop in power as with other battery technologies. Designed for user comfort, the FSA 85 is lightweight with excellent balance and low vibration. And starting could not be more simple — just pull the trigger. The FSA 85 is 5 times quieter than the Stihl gasoline-powered equivalent. WANT TO TMC’s KPW4500V line trimmer/brush cutter TMC’s KPW4500V line trimmer/brush cutter tackles the toughest of obstacles with its heavy-duty 1.9-hp./45.4-cc Kawasaki 2-cycle engine, which boasts dual-ringed pistons, a 4-bolt chrome-plated cylinder, and a forged iron crank- shaft. The heavy-duty 78-mm clutch and drum, 8-mm solid-steel driveshaft splined at both ends, and heavy-duty 4-bearing gear head deliver smooth op- eration and incredible torque and power to the cutting surface. A cast- aluminum clutch housing with integrated rubber dampers, aluminum handle mounts and metal engine stand ensure maximum life and durability.
