Honda HHT35SUKA and HHT35SLTA The HHT35S handheld heavy-duty trimmer uses Honda’s 360-degree inclinable GX35 mini 4-stroke engine known for its low noise level, low vibration level, and ease of starting. The new engine’s oil-immersed tim- ing belt and overhead-cam (OHC) architecture makes it possible to incorporate the valve train into the oil reservoir. In addition, Honda trimmers do not require the mixing of gas and oil, which provides for greatly reduced emissions, increased efficiency, and a reduction in opportunity for operator error. The Honda trim- mer is available in 2 configurations; the HHT35SLTA with a traditional loop handle and the HHT35SUKA with a U-shaped bicycle-style handle for increased leverage and precise control. Husqvarna 327LDX The Husqvarna 327LDx is a lightweight, high-performance combination machine. It is equipped with Husq- varna’s E-TECH II engine with catalytic emission control, as well as a soft and comfortable loop handle that makes it easy to turn and use the trimmer at different angles. The 327LDx is developed for many different types of job. Auto return stop switch automatically resets to the “on” position for trouble-free starting. Jonsered 28-cc trimmers Jonsered offers an improved series of trimmer models powered by a 28-cc Clean Power engine, which de- livers more torque and better fuel economy while reducing emissions 60 percent compared to prior models. The engine features a chrome cylinder bore, forged-steel connecting rod and stamped-steel starter cup. The GT 2128 is a curved-shaft model, weighing 9.7 pounds. The GC 2128 is a straight-shaft version, offer- ing longer reach and accessibility. Both models feature a choke and air purge system for reliable starts, a centrifugal clutch and a spring-assisted recoil assembly for easier starting. The handle-mounted start/stop switch automatically returns to the “on” position, reducing the chance of flooding the engine. 30 Landscape and Irrigation May/June 2011 www.landscapeirrigation.com
