NEWS & T RE ND S Grundfos awarded Supplier of the Year by Lochinvar for 2010 Grundfos Pumps (Lebanon, Tenn.) was named as Lochinvar’s 2010 Supplier of the Year for its overall business performance in providing Lochinvar with high performing parts and services. The award was given during a ceremony Friday, June 2, at Lochinvar’s World Headquarters in Lebanon, Tenn. Lochinvar Corporation is a leading manufac- turer of high-efficiency water heaters, boilers, pool heaters and storage tanks. “We consider Grundfos Pumps to be a role model for all suppliers. They are recog- nized as a Lochinvar Supplier of the Year because they exceeded our expectations in 2010,” said Ken Killebrew, materials manager. “We consider Grundfos as a true partner in all aspects of the business from technical support, engineering, logistics, purchasing and quality.” “It is certainly a privilege and an honor for all of us at Grundfos Pumps to be named as the Lochinvar 2010 Supplier of the Year award recipient,” said Mike Wright, Southeast region DSM/OEM sales manager for Grundfos Pumps. “It is an honor to accept it, but it is more of an honor to be associated with such an upstanding and out- standing company as Lochinvar.” The Lochinvar Supplier of the Year award began in 2005 with winners being selected by a team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. Grundfos is the first component supplier to earn the supplier of the year award. COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER Bacharach announces the appointment of Ken Eck as marketing communications manager effective May 16. Ken is responsible for all strategic communications p lans and Ken Eck BACHARACH’S NEW MARKETING programs, including product and trade pro- motions, trade show coordination, product launch materials and communication, press releases, print and electronic advertising and targeted direct marketing programs. Ken comes to Bacharach with a strong background in marketing communica- tions, branding and promotional campaign strategies, earning several awards for his work. Most recently Ken was manager of direct marketing at Highmark, Inc., where he was involved in implement- ing initiatives and strategy for Individual Direct Pay products in the health insur- ance industry for the under 65 market. His previous work experience includes director of marketing and product devel- opment for ASC, Inc., senior account manager for Communifax, licensing and brand director for Emess Design Group, and marketing communications manager for Industrial Scientific Corporation. 8 JULY 2011 | FUEL OIL NEWS | www.fueloilnews.com Ken received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Gannon University and MBA / Marketing from Robert Morris University. BOCK HIRES DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT SUPPORT Bock Water Heaters, Inc. (Madison, Wis.) announced the addition of David Rousayne to the newly created position of director of product support. David comes to Bock with over 30 years of experience in the hydronic, HVAC and water heating industry. Most recently David had held the position of techni- cal service manger at Carlin Combustion Technology, Inc. In his new position, David will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and assistance to Bock’s customers and key accounts. This will include monitoring product quality and customer satisfaction
