P erhaps you've already seen the new, Anniversary Edition Model 579 that we've created to honor Peterbilt's 75 th anniversary. Or you've had a chance to visit the interactive trailer display that chronicles the fascinat- ing history of our company, presently on tour throughout North America. Or you've already enjoyed your copy of Peterbilt: 75 Years of Class, the limited- edition, hardcover book that takes an in-depth look at our history, our custom- ers and the trucks that became legends of the road. Indeed, 2014 is a milestone year for Peterbilt, one that we're very proud to celebrate. And our focus, as it was when the company was founded in 1939, remains acutely sharpened on helping our customers achieve their own special milestones of success. For example, Greg Donati, a logger who is one of the first to own and operate a new vocational Peterbilt Model 567. Peterbilt was started, in part, to build a logging truck uniquely qualified to handle the rigors of logging. Donati is discovering that 75 years later, the mission is unchanged. "This truck fits me," he says. "I called my rep the other day and told him this truck is a 10." Dino Guadagni of Western Distributing runs a company with a timeline even longer than that of Peterbilt. And he was as old-school as they come when picking his Peterbilts — until he integrated a couple new Model 579s into his fleet. "It's been an eye-opener, especially the improved fuel economy we've been getting with the Model 579 and a PACCAR MX-13 Engine," he says. The Peterbilt product line has clearly evolved. But what has driven Peterbilt's success for the past 75 years will continue to drive success over the next 75 years: an unwavering commitment to innovation, technology and sur- passing customer expectations. At Peterbilt, our focus remains acutely sharpened on helping customers achieve their own milestones of success.
