ON THE Shelf 6 Phillips Distilling Company has introduced UV Sugar Crush, a fruit candy-fl avored vodka. Created in response to a rise in Millennial generation nostalgia, the vodka is designed to invoke retro candies. Sugar Crush is available for a suggested retail price of $11.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. 7 Lucas Bols has launched its new Bols Watermelon Liqueur, joining the company's range of more than 30 liqueurs. Available in a 1-liter bottle, the new liqueur was originally launched in Europe in 2012 and is now available in the U.S. market. 8 Pernod Ricard USA has introduced a new line of sparkling wines, Café de Paris. Established in 1967, the number-one French sparkling wine is made in Saint-Andre de Cubzac, in Bordeaux. Café de Paris is available in both pear and pomegranate fl avors for a suggested retail price of $12.99 per bottle. 9 Decopas (which is slang in Brazil for "by the glass") has introduced two new wines — a 2013 Sauvignon Blanc and a 2013 Malbec. Both made from 100 percent Mendoza fruit, the Sauvignon Blanc is a mix of pink grapefruit, wildfl owers and passion fruit, while the Malbec has fl avors of fruit, marmalade of plum and cherry, according to the company. Both are available for a suggested retail price of $12 per bottle. 10 Palm Bay International and Chilean winery Santa Rita have introduced Secret Reserve, a red blend that combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Containing grapes grown at elevations of approximately 2,000 feet, the red blend is available for a suggested retail price of $11.99 per bottle. 11 The latest fl avor addition to the Svedka por tfolio is Svedka Peach. It joins the Swedish vodka's other fl avors, including strawberry lemonade, mango pineapple and orange cream pop, among others. The new fl avor is available for a suggested retail price of $12.99 for a 750- ml. bottle. 12 35 Maple Street Spirits has created Uncle Val's Restorative Gin, which joins the compa- ny's line-up of rum and whiskies. With flavors of Juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage and lavender, the gin is named after company president August Sebastian's Uncle Valerio.
