Higgins Road, Suite 230, Park Ridge, IL 60068 Phone: (847) 720-5600 • Fax: (847) 720-5601 Web site: http://www.landscapeirrigation.com Who are the Most Influential People in the Green Industry? reen Media — publisher of Landscape and Irrigation, Arbor Age, Outdoor Power Equipment and SportsTurf — will once again be recognizing Green Industry leaders, and is now accepting nominations for its 2011 list of “Most Influential People in the Green Industry.” We are seeking those who have led by example; those who have been industry innovators; those who have worked for the betterment of the Green Industry; those who have inspired change; and those whose impact has been felt by others in land- scape, irrigation, tree care, outdoor power equipment, sports turf management, and other Green Industry fields. I challenge you to think of those who have not only impacted your career, but those who have influenced the way business is conducted in the Green Industry. This could be someone who has been a life-long leader in the industry, or someone who did something this year that has had a widespread impact. It could be someone whose inventions or innovations are making day-to-day tasks easier; someone whose research is providing the solution to a particular challenge; someone whose training is promoting a safer workplace; someone whose instructional methods are influenc- ing the next generation of Green Industry leaders; someone whose presentation, speech or writings moved you to take a new approach to your business; someone whose designs have changed the way we look at the landscape; someone whose ap- proach to projects has given rise to new ideas or methodologies; or even someone who has taken Green Industry practices to new heights through green roof imple- mentation. I want you to think outside the box and recognize those who have truly been influential — even if that someone is you. But the nominee does not have to be someone you know on a personal level. If someone has influenced you — no matter how indirectly — I suggest that you nominate them for this recognition, and tell us why. If you would like to nominate another Green Industry professional, or yourself, for consideration for the 2011 list of “Most Influential People in the Green Indus- try,” please e-mail the nominee’s name and contact information, as well as a detailed explanation about why he or she has been influential to the Green Industry, to mostinfluential@m2media360.com. The deadline for submissions is August 19, 2011. All nominations will be reviewed by our in-house panel, and the selections will be announced during GIE+EXPO 2011 in Louisville. Those people selected to the 2011 list of “Most Influential People in the Green Industry” will then be profiled in Green Media’s group of industry publications in early 2012.
