Thomas Henick-Kling is leading a 12-day spring- time tour in southern France to visit some of the most celebrated regions of the Southern Rhone Valley, including Chateauneuf du Pape, Bandol, and Hermitage. The tour, from April 19-May 1, offers behind-the-scenes gatherings with winemakers and grape growers. Henick-Kling is director of WSU's viticulture and enology program. The tour includes some dinners and lunches, 11 winery visits, a cooking class in Avignon, a boat tour of Calanques, and excursions to Monaco and Monte Carlo. Registration deadlines are looming. Farm succession seminar scheduled O regon State University will present a two-session seminar on fam- ily farm succession at three locations in Oregon. The seminar will bring together multi-generational family farms that are ready to start transitioning to the next generation.
