galleries galore JOUSSEENTREPRISE There is only one other known Jean Prouvé table similar to the one being shown here at Jousee Entreprise. The base of this table borrows the constructive system of the "Flavigny" table (1942), this model being hallmarked by the addition of a central strut made of bent sheet metal which strengthens the structure and helps to bear the weight of the table top. Many of Charlotte Perriand's most celebrated works were produced when she was working GALERIE PATRICK SEGUIN at Ateliers Jean Prouvé. And the debate as to whose name the work is credited to continues on. According to the Prouvé estate, this book- case, designed in 1956 of bent sheet steel, elm and aluminum, is credited to "Charlotte Perriand/Jean Prouvé," or according to the Perriand estate, "Charlotte Perriand."
